Happy New Year….oh wait…
Happy New Year! Oh wait, it’s almost March…which means I’ve been lazy. If you don’t update this…it’s your fault, Jordan. Moving on…moving forward.
Lots of exciting stuff coming up!
I am in talks with a dear friend from AFI to shoot my short film, “Traitor”
This project will be the most challenging of my career, but also, the most beloved to my soul. It is my love letter to all those I disagree with.
“In a future American Civil War, a solider hesitates to execute a soldier from the other side.”
Can’t wait!
Also, I shot three short films last week:
A recreation of a scene from, Erin Brockovich, this one:
Film students will shoot scenes from famous movies to continue their film educations, and us actors help out and get footage for our reels! I love doing this. So. Much. I loved Albert Finney’s work and it was a true pleasure to honor his legacy. Ayanna, the director, has already asked KaSandre (Erin) and I to be in her thesis film! We can’t wait!
Next, a fantastic revenge story in which I got to play a cop for an LMU film student!
Working with director Aneka was a real treat; I hope I get to work with great directors like her more often than not, as she helped me figure out the character so well!
Finally, how grateful I was to to go the LA Film School and play this guy!!!
What a dream come true it was to play in the Middle-Earth sandbox! Cole (Frodo) and Andrei (the director) were FANTASTIC!!!! And check out that make up job by Bruna Nogueria, she was incredible! Bruna, as long as I have the means, I will always come to you first for cinema make-up!!!!
I was very lucky to be able to attend the LA premiere of, “Lord of the Rings: Return of the King,” with my late father! I wish I had pics of us that night, it was one for the books! And those new 4k blu rays are gorgeous! RIP, Andrew Lesnie!
In these trying times that we are all struggling to get through, I am reminded of this scene from, “Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.”
“So do all who live to see such times…”
Wise words indeed, Mr. Tolkien.
Have a great week, everyone! Back next week!
