May Update

Yup. Still “cold” in LA (our friends up north are like, “SERIOUSLY???”

Yeah.

Anyway…

We found some, a-hem, interesting things behind the bar :)

I had an absolute blast working with director Bryan Krol for his short film, “The Jar,” in which I play a private detective tasked with retrieving an heirloom from a “femme fatale,” client who is hiding a demonic secret. Some pics below, and I can’t wait to see the final product!

“She was a tall drink of poison…but I was too thirsty to say no…” - hard boiled dialogue I’ll use some day. Gabby was hilarious, talented and great to work with!

We shot in an alleyway over two nights in Pasadena. You know you’re on the right track when it’s 1am, you’re shivering, but you still ask for another take.

Bryan’s wife Rikki worked as our set PA/Grip/All around bad ass. I love seeing couples working together in film!

My first experience with, “fake money.” I’ll be watching films from now on with a closer eye. I’m also reminded of DeNiro shooting, “Goodfellas.” :)

Yeah, we did some, “guerrilla filmmaking.” Won’t say where, of course, but I love doing it. Sorry not sorry.

And that’s a wrap!

Dinonauts FINALLY on the way!

An incredibly unique project 10+ years in the making, the animated feature “Dinonauts,” is finally just about ready for release. From the IMDB:

The Dinonauts unite to defend the universe from the forces of tyranny, to befriend sentient protoplasms, and to find the perfect banana smoothie.

This was my first VO role: I play, “Voice of the Plutonian Dominion.” I’ve seen some footage and it looks so promising!

For our current (but hopefully not forever) upside down world…

“Traitor” is happening. As I mention in the video below, this will be the most difficult thing I’ve ever attempted, but I feel beyond compelled to try, and if learning to fly has taught me anything, it’s that I’m capable of a heck of a lot more than I ever thought, and maybe you are as well.

More later!
