Bilbo! Bilbo Baggins!
The acting journey continues and I am so grateful to share that I recently got to play in one of my favorite cinematic sandboxes ever…drumroll…MIDDLE EARTH!!!
Some highlights:
The make-up, first and foremost, by Bruna Nogueria, blew us all out of the water. It took an hour or so to put on, but it felt great having fellow cast member Cole Lewis (Frodo) and crew members walk past and go, “Wow…” Bruna, you are a genius!
On break from shooting, going to a sandwich shop in full costume and make up. The LA Film School is right smack dab in the middle of Hollywood on Sunset, so I guess I wasn’t too out of place :)
Finally, being able to honor the late great Ian Holm. Oscar-nominated for his supporting role in, “Chariots of Fire,” as well as the terrifying evil sociopathic android in Ridley Scott’s classic sci-fi horror picture, “Alien,” Sir Ian killed it in the role of Bilbo in Peter Jackson’s, “Lord of the Rings.” I hope I did you proud, sir!
Also, I don’t have any lines in this picture, but, “A Lonely Love” directed by USC film student Edouard Fan, is such a beautiful, heartbreaking and romantic film. I’m not just an actor in it, but I’m a fan as well. I can’t wait for you all to see it, and for now, above are some reviews from Wildsound film festival!
Finally, block 2 of, “Journalism 101,” commences tomorrow, and we wrap on Sunday. It’ll be out in May and I can’t wait to see it myself, let alone show it to all of you!
