Stay on the Path
Greetings, fellow cinema lovers! Phew! I’m exhausted and I love it! I just spent 5 days in a row working on set and I couldn’t be more grateful!
On Friday morning, I woke up at 5:30am and made it to the location in Pasadena for the upcoming film, “How to Make Her Cheat,” at 7am, for my very first, “Background,” job. The story:
Weeks away from his wedding, an insecure guy puts his fiancée through a series of tests to see if she would cheat before they tie the knot.
What an incredible experience it was!
I have heard that doing background work is difficult, but thanks to the professionals and lovely folks just like me still breaking into the biz, I had a ball. I also got to be in a shot of my own, walking into the wedding scene from outside. Thank you 2nd AD Brandon for the opportunity!
The first 4 days of shooting, “Journalism 101,” went great!
I am looking forward to the final 3 days of shooting this wonderful pilot, but in a way, not, for I will be sad when our wonderful director Mike Lopez yells cut for the final time, for it will be a bittersweet experience.
To Hannah, Leyna, Andre, Aren, Erlene and Ryne, I LOVE working with you all and hope to work with all of you again in another project.
And to the crew, let me tell you; even though our project is a film school thesis project while, “How to Make her Cheat,” is a professional film, your level of professionalism and discipline is equal to theirs!
Rock on, and see you in April!
