It’s (almost) Baseball Season…

So, on a rainy day in LA (it happens, welcome to Blade Runner), some recent career news:

A few projects of mine have been accepted into the Golden State Film Festival, held at the historic TCL Chinese Theater in FABULOUS HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA!

Journalism 101" (Sitcom pilot, Written by Leah Dolgin & Michael Lopez, Directed by Mr. Lopez)- A disgraced former news anchor is hired to teach at a local university where he becomes the unwilling inspiration to a group of unusual journalism students.

We screen at:

TUESDAY NIGHT, FEB 28, 9:30PM, BLOCK RRR Theater 3

Here’s a trailer!

And my scripts in competition:

"Vik" (Sitcom pilot script, Written by yours truly) When a rogue German scientist releases an airborne virus that renders every man on the planet "Only Into Dudes", Vik Misro, a narcissistic yet good man in pain from his recent divorce, finds that he is the only exception.

"Traitor (Short film script, Written by yours truly) My sincere love letter to humanity. The Future American Civil War. A Captain in charge of a bunker, where his psychopathic doctor tortures his prisoners, this Captain finds his humanity with one of his capture soldiers.

Come on by the festival all week, you might find me at the bar…or at the Hard Rock :)

PRACTICAL EFFECTS FOR THE W!

I recently booked a role playing a member of an illuminati-style secret society and…we all get assassinated. It was so great working at my favorite hotel of all time in LA, the historic Culver Hotel! Check out the picks below!

Amazing work by the effects team!

Spoiler Alert…

Such a fun bunch to work with!

I am a big fan of practical effects over CGI (love you, Rob Bottin!) and have a newfound respect for my fellow actors who get the goopy stuff tossed on ‘em to entertain us all at home and in theaters!

That’s about all for now, see y’all next Tuesday night!
